The Downtown Denver Partnership’s City Scout Program brings stakeholders to another city to conduct a deep-dive on a project or initiative that is highly relevant to a specific project we are advancing in Downtown Denver.
This destination-based program aims to create opportunities for high-impact learning, peer-to-peer connection, and concrete takeaways that build momentum and advance our work in a specific project area related to downtown.
More than just a program, City Scout is an unparalleled opportunity to be at the forefront of urban development in Denver and influence tangible projects that will shape the future of Downtown Denver for generations to come.
WHY
MONTREAL
Our 2026 City Scout Program will take us to Montreal, a globally renowned destination for public space design, placemaking, and cultural innovation. As Denver continues to reimagine and activate its downtown core, Montreal provides valuable lessons on how arts and culture can be powerful drivers of downtown vitality and economic growth.
During our visit, we’ll meet with international experts in public art, programming, and placemaking to uncover the strategies behind Montreal’s success and explore how Denver can harness its own cultural assets and infrastructure as we prioritize the implementation of PLAY elements from the recently-adopted Downtown Area Plan.
Goals of this program include implementing near term activations in downtown Denver and long term strategic planning for public art and installations throughout our center city.
